The final of the Gaetano Marzotto Prize was held in Rome. The prize recognizes outstanding contributions to innovation and is in its seventh edition.

3BEE HIVE-TECH received a UniCredit Start Lab Special Award in the category "From Idea to Business." The startup has developed an IoT device that monitors honeybees. The device makes it possible to remotely track the health status of a bee colony, notifying the beekeeper of a need to intervene in the event of any anomaly.

D-EYE CARE won the UniCredit Start Lab Special Prize in the "Best Business" category. The startup develops and produces diagnostic systems that allow mass screening, collection and analysis of observed data. The first product, already on the market, is an innovative, smartphone-based retinal screening system designed for ophthalmological use.

Both startups are part of the UniCredit Start Lab acceleration program, which provides the following resources:

• identification of one or more mentors chosen from a selection of professionals, consultants, entrepreneurs and UniCredit partners to engage in periodic meetings on strategy and business growth;

   

• the assignment of a dedicated UniCredit manager;

   

• access to the Startup Academy and the coaching program organized by the UniCredit Start Lab team;

   

• opportunities to meet formally with UniCredit corporate customers and potential investors.
