The Commission on Digital - The Winners
The Commission on Digital met on July 18, 2017 to decide the winning startup proposal for the sector.
The commission chose among ten finalists pre-selected by UniCredit Start Lab Team. The Commission was composed of senior executives from leading Italian companies such as:
Alessio Abbateianni - CEO at All Technology
Michele Balbi - President at Teorema
Alessandro Fabbroni - CEO at Sesa
Umberto Pizzorno - President at Aldinet
Paola Scarpa - Director at Google
After some debate, winning Digital startup proposal was BANDYER - a provider of tailored services for the B2B segment, based on WebRTC technology; it allows video-communication without requiring the download of any software. The company offers a cloud based video-communication solution that can be vertically integrated within business existing platforms and mobile applications
The commission awarded second place to PRONTOPRO - a platform that links supply with demand for professionals and craftspeople. It operates in more than 80 markets throughout Italy, covering 430 categories of services
Third place went to SCLAK - a chip that can be connected to electric locks of any kind. It requires no retrofitting or any internet connection and can be operated using digital inputs and keys, or even on a timer
Additionally, the commission decided to award a special mention to FINDMYLOST - an integrated platform that allows people to find lost objects, no matter where they may be. The solution enables private companies to manage the entire process: from loss, to recovery, to delivery to the owner
