The Commission on Digital - The Winners
The Commission on Digital met on July 16, 2018 to decide the winning startup proposal for the sector.
The commission chose among ten finalists pre-selected by UniCredit Start Lab Team. The Commission was composed of senior executives from leading Italian companies such as:
Giorgio Aravecchia, Human Resources and New Media Director, PANINI
Enrico Mercadante, Lead for Digitization Platform Sales and for Innovation, CISCO
Valerio Momoni, Marketing, Product and Business Director, CERVED
Roberto Privitera, Head of Marketing e Business Development, ACANTHO (GRUPPO HERA)
Stefano Reale, CFO, RDS
Paola Scarpa, Client Solutions, Data & Insights Director, GOOGLE
Davide Stefanelli, CFO and Vice President, VEM SISTEMI
The first classified for the Digital sector is APPQUALITY, which develops innovative digital optimization services able to reduce the costs of developing and managing apps, websites and any other digital product. The startup receives a € 10,000 grant.
Second classified, AKAMAS has designed a software based on algorithms of artificial intelligence and machine learning, for the automatic optimization of performances and costs of computer systems. CARPLANNER ranked third with a digital platform that aggregates long-term car rental offers and allows users to find the car that best suits their needs.
A special mention goes to CLEANBNB, a platform for managing short-term rentals and holiday homes.
