The Commission "Innovative Made in Italy" - The Winners

The Commission on "Innovative Made in Italy" met on June 16, 2016 to decide the winning startup proposal for the sector.

Composed of senior executives from leading Italian companies such as Flos, Odissea,  QVC Italia, Samsung and Technogym, the commission chose among ten finalists pre-selected by UniCredit Start Lab Team.

After some debate, winning Innovative Made in Italy startup proposal was Mida +: a company that produces and sells Cremolì, a fat derived from olive oil. This product features certain characteristics that make it superior to other fats now on the market.

The commission awarded second place to Wenda: a device attached to the necks of wine bottles that can be used to track product quality and authenticate their origin, providing an extra level of protection for wine producers.

Third place went to Senso Immersive: a company that develops products and technological environments (audio/video, immersive and interactive permanent or temporary installations) for retailers, museums and others.

Additionally, the commission decided to award a special mention to Xnext.

Xnext - an X-ray system that can identify the chemical and physical composition of materials. It works quickly, and the system has applications in quality control and in providing real-time security for food, drugs and travel.
