Digital Commission 2025
The Digital Commission, the fourth of the five planned for the 12th edition of UniCredit Start Lab, was held on July 2, 2025.
These are the names of the Board Experts who met the finalist startups:
- Ivan Auriemma - Head of M\&A and Business Development, Datalogic
- Giulia Di Giovanni - Head of Innovation, Poste Italiane
- Enrico Mercadante - Director Architectures Sales & Innovation Southern Europe, Cisco
- Tullio Pirovano - President, Lutech
- Roberto Privitera - Head of Product Lab, Aruba
- Matteo Romano - Director Micro & Small Business, TeamSystem
- Davide Stefanelli - President, VEM Sistemi
The commission, after evaluating and voting on the projects, decreed the final ranking, which sees:
the assignment of 1st place to GetPica, a company that has developed a platform for the real-time delivery of photos to event participants. Using a patented AI system, the photos uploaded by the photography teams are processed and categorized so that the people portrayed can only access their own content, ensuring maximum privacy, increasing participant engagement and social media presence.

Second place went to Cosmico, which developed a proprietary AI-driven platform that acts as an intermediary between freelancers looking for work and companies looking for specific skills to start new projects or manage work peaks, with a focus on specific sectors, including Design, Coding, Marketing & Communication, Data & AI and Cybersecurity. The platform simplifies and speeds up the process of clustering talent, matching resources with client companies and suggesting profiles in line with the needs of business customers.

Third place went to Hotiday, the first global decentralized hotel chain, created to respond to a physiological characteristic of the hospitality sector: the natural unsold nature of accommodation facilities. The model is based on the guaranteed allotment acquisition of a limited number of rooms in selected third-party hotels. The rooms are adapted to the desires and needs of modern travelers and enhanced with technological, design and comfort accessories.

The Commission also awarded a special mention to Weagle that offers a distinctive SaaS solution for protecting corporate data during web browsing & AI. The technology features the first Security Search Engine with a Private AI Chat integration, a centralized dashboard for Chief Information Security Offices and a sophisticated online threat analysis tool. It integrates with current cybersecurity solutions in the SSE-SASE area, providing an additional layer of security that no one on the cyber market can currently offer.

The other startups that will join the UniCredit Start Lab business platform are (in alphabetical order):
Focoos AI: offers an advanced software that provides access to highly efficient and low-computation (i.e. reduced energy consumption) computer vision models, enabling the rapid and optimized development and integration of AI solutions. The models are designed to be easily adapted to the specific needs of companies, who can independently customize them for computer vision applications in sectors such as smart cities, industrial manufacturing, defense and surveillance.

G2Q Computing: is a deep-tech company developing hybrid quantum-ready software solutions for complex industrial problems. We specialize in quantum-enabled optimization and machine learning, designing algorithms that leverage quantum sampling to accelerate and scale classical computations. Our technology has been applied in areas such as anomaly detection, engineering design, and critical infrastructure monitoring.

Inflead: has developed an AI and machine learning-based influencer marketing SaaS platform for brands, agencies and creators. The solution helps optimize the profile scouting and analysis process, track creator performances and predict campaign KPIs. The platform allows creators to be supported in managing and optimizing influencer marketing activities across different channels.

Live Story: is a next-generation omnichannel Visual CMS (Content Management System), which allows brands to manage digital content in an intuitive way, combining the agility of a headless CMS with a powerful visual editor. The platform is designed to reduce time and costs in managing content on eCommerce, websites, apps and retail digital signage.

TAC - Touch and Contact: has developed a B2B software solution that maximizes business opportunities stemming from professional relationships. By simplifying the exchange of business cards and company presentations during introductory meetings, the solution helps boost conversions through a structured lead management system integrated with the company's CRM. It also strengthens brand identity by ensuring consistent external communication of the brand identity by all employees

Zefi AI: is the Feedback Analytics platform that helps product and CX teams identify growth and cost reduction opportunities and improve their customers' experiences by 10x by automating customer feedback analysis. The startup has developed a platform that enables companies to centralize all conversations with their customers (such as reviews, calls, questionnaires, tickets, and customer support requests) in real-time and automate the extraction of insights using artificial intelligence algorithms.
