INNOVATION TALKS - PANELISTS

GILAD ENGEL - PARTNER TARGET GLOBAL

Prior to joining Target, Gilad was a Vice President responsible for strategic alliances at Elastifile, acquired by Google. Before that he was at Anobit Technologies, acquired by Apple, where he was the Vice President in Business Development and Co-manager of the SSD business unit. Before Anobit, Gilad was a Business Development Director at M-Systems, acquired by SanDisk.

He is also a board member at Plessey Semiconductors, board observer at Ermetic and an active angel investor in more than 20 companies, several of which were acquired.  Gilad holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science and Economics from Bar-Ilan University from Ramat.

STEFANIA GODOLI - HEAD OF CIB - CCB ITALY JOINT VENTURE UNICREDIT

Since February 2020, Stefania Godoli is Head of CIB-CCB Italian Joint Venture. The JV is the CIB dedicated initiative that aims at offering the CIB product platform to Corporate Commercial Banking clients.

Stefania started her career at Morgan Stanley where she spent almost 20 years, covering different roles last of which as Head of Equity Capital Markets for Southern Europe, with responsibility for Italy, Spain, Portugal, Turkey and Greece, bringing with her a vast experience in the international equity capital markets. She joined UniCredit In 2015 as Global Head of Equity Capital Markets. Stefania graduated in Business Administration at Bocconi University in Milan and was part of the MBA Program at New York University Stern School of Business.

LUCA COLGIACO - GENERAL PARTNER KREOS CAPITAL

Over the past 13 years at Kreos, Luca has focused on executing transactions in the UK and continental Europe as well as participating in the management and execution of overall Kreos strategy. Prior to joining Kreos, Luca was a Director at Noble Group, where he led numerous hybrid credit/equity transactions for high-growth companies. Before joining Noble, Luca was an Associate Director with GATX Capital in San Francisco and London. Luca started his career in Luxembourg at the Republic National Bank of New York and GEMINA. Luca has a degree in Business and Economics from Università Bocconi in Milan, Italy, and he also studied International Relations at ISPI. In addition, Luca holds an MBA from HEC School of Management, France, and the International Management Programme of New York University's Stern Graduate Business School.

 

VANESSA PINTER - ASSOCIATE DIGITAL+

Vanessa is an Associate at Digital+ Partners, a EUR 350m growth equity fund based in Germany, investing in leading growth-stage B2B technology businesses across Europe and the USA. Her primary focus lies on companies active within Logistics, Supply Chain, Cybersecurity, IndustrialTech and FinTech. Between 2016 and 2019, Vanessa spent two years at Credit Suisse within the strategy team, lastly as Assistant Vice President. During her studies, she completed numerous internships in Austria, Russia, and Switzerland. Vanessa holds a Master in Business Innovation from the University of St. Gallen and a BSc in Business Administration from the Vienna University of Economics and Business.

FREDERIC COURT - FOUNDER & MANAGING PARTNER FELIX CAPITAL

Frederic is the Founder and Managing Partner of Felix Capital ("Felix"), a London-based venture capital firm operating at the intersection of technology and creativity. Felix manages over $600m of venture and growth capital, with a strategy to invest in digital lifestyle, backing new digital brands and related enabling technologies. Frederic has worked in the technology industry for nearly 20 years. He was General Partner with Advent Venture Partners in London, which he joined in 2001. Previously he was an entrepreneur in France, building a VC-backed online marketplace for the textile industry, and before that a technology banker in London and New York with Lazard. Frederic was named "Investor of the Year" in Europe by his peers at the 2012 and 2019 Investor All Stars event. Frederic was on the Midas List Europe 2017, 2018 and 2019. He is a graduate of ESSEC in Paris and Bocconi University in Milan.

SIMON BECKERMAN - FOUNDER DEPOP

Simon is the founder of Depop, a social commerce app for peer-to-peer resale of clothes and accessories that has become wildly popular with Gen-Z consumers. He founded Depop in 2011, the second of his business ventures after starting a glasses brand with his brother in 2006, and Pig magazine in the 1990s. He stepped down as CEO in 2013 and joined Depop's board where he contributed to many areas of Depop such as products and brand.

 

RICCARDO POZZOLI - ENTREPRENEUR & ADVISOR

Italian entrepreneur. Founder of a few startups innovating the communication and lifestyle sectors in Italy and Worldwide. Author of inspirational books about the digital and business world. Riccardo works as consultant for brands and helps promising projects take flight, always at the launch of new startup.

ASH PURI - GROWTH INVESTOR LGT LIGHTSTONE

Ash is an entrepreneur turned VC and has been closely associated with the European tech scene since 2007. He currently works as an Investor at LGT Lightstone, a global investment fund, partnering with outstanding mission-driven entrepreneurs with proven technology to solve global challenges. He has previously worked as an Investment Partner at TempoCap and Episode1. He has also helped ASOS with their international expansion in Asia based on his experience on founding and running a business of premium e-fashion commerce in India. He started his career in technology investments with Partech Ventures in Paris. He holds a double Masters in Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, USA and Supélec, France. Some of his investments include Onfido, Depop, MessageBird, Talentsoft, Dailymotion, Digitick, etc.

RESHMA SOHONI - CO-FOUNDER & MANAGING PARTNER SEEDCAMP

Reshma Sohoni is Managing Partner of Seedcamp, the European seed fund she co-founded in 2007 with a strong belief that European entrepreneurs have the power to compete on a global scale. Over a decade later Seedcamp has pioneered the European early-stage investment landscape and backed over 300 companies including three unicorns: TransferWise, Revolut, and UiPath. Reshma is frequently listed as one of the most influential women in technology and VC and sits on the Digital Economy Council, working alongside the UK government and leading tech industry experts to provide policy advice to support tech startups and innovation in the UK. Reshma was recognized on Forbes Midas List for Europe as one of the most influential VCs on the continent in 2017, 2018, and 2019. In 2019 she also made it to the no1 spot on the FT's most influential BAME tech leader list.

 

JEREMY UZAN- GENERAL PARTNER & FOUNDER SINGULAR

Jeremy is an early stage investor at Singular, a European venture capital firm he co-founded in 2020.

Prior to founding Singular, Jeremy was a General Partner at Alven, a leading Paris-based early stage VC fund, where he conducted 20+ investments and served on the board of multiple companies including Freeda, Openclassrooms, Typology, Happn, Drivy (acquired by Getaround), BIME (acquired by Zendesk) and Captain Train (acquired by Trainline).

 

DAVID ALONSO MARTINEZ - ASSOCIATE SAMAIPATA

David works at Samaipata, an entrepreneur-led pre Series A VC fund with a pan-European and vertical approach, investing in marketplaces and platform. David joined Samaipata in 2018, after co-founding Backard, a merchandising consulting firm and after an experience to Morgan Stanley. He has a Dual Degree in Mathematics, Statistics and Economics from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

OLIVIER KHAYAT - CO-CEO COMMERCIAL BANKING WESTERN EUROPE - UNICREDIT

Olivier started his career in fixed income and structured finance at Crédit Commercial de France and Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations.

He worked for the Société Générale Group for more ten years from 2001 to 2010, in a number of senior positions within Corporate and Investment Banking and Investor Global Services, where he was responsible for capital markets, structured finance and global fixed income activities.

Olivier also held board positions in asset management (TCW) and brokerage (Newedge) companies.

He was appointed Co-Head of CIB in 2016, previously Deputy Head from when he joined UniCredit in 2011.

In March 2019, he was appointed Co-CEO of Commercial Banking, Western Europe, whilst retaining shared oversight of the CIB division, along with the Co-CEO of Commercial Banking, Central Eastern Europe.  

In July 2020, he was appointed Member of the Supervisory Board of UniCredit Bank AG.

He has a Master in Economics from ENSAE in France and a Master in Engineering from École Polytechnique in France.

FRANCESCA PERRONE - HEAD OF WEU START LAB & DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS - UNICREDIT

Francesca Perrone heads Start Lab and the Founders' Club of UniCredit, initiatives to strengthen the innovative startups and innovation processes of Italian companies. She worked for over ten years in the UniCredit Investment Banking, managing, for leading Italian companies, IPOs and M&A transactions. She has a Master and a PhD in Economics at the University of York, UK.

ATTILIO MAZZILLI - PARTNER, HEAD OF THE ITALIAN TECH GROUP - ORRICK

Attilio Mazzilli is a partner in the Milan office, Head of the Italian Tech Group and member of the international Technology Companies Group. His practice focuses on advising high growth technology companies and venture capital firms in several areas including corporate and securities law, venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, and technology licensing. Several standout technology companies and their founders have turned to Attilio, who currently represents the same at all stages of their life-cycle.
