The Commission on Clean Tech
The Commission on Clean Tech will meet on July 1, 2020, to select the winning proposal from among ten finalists.
The startups selected to participate in UniCredit Start Lab 2020 will receive:
The winner will also receive a cash prize of €10,000.
The ten finalists are as follows:
GES
The startup designed and developed an innovative flow battery for energy storage. The technology is characterized by great efficiency, safety, low environmental impact, long life and scalability
HUMAN CELL
The startup realized a capsule of psychophysical regeneration, with a high technological content, for doctors and staff, to be implemented in hospitals and healthcare facilities
i-TES
It manufactures innovative thermal storage tanks that store thermal energy, both heat and cold side, using latent heat of specific materials called PCM (Phase-Change Materials) with the aim of ensuring more efficient energy management
LT ENERGY GROUP
The startup has designed and is developing Energy lighT - ELT, a system to remotely monitor outdoor lighting systems that guarantees substantial energy savings (up to 75%)
NED
The solution is a virtual assistant that monitors the energy consumption of the main household appliances and suggests to the consumer how to save money. It uses a mobile app and a sensor that connects to the electrical panel or home meter "with a quick and easy installation"
REIWA ENGINE
The startup has designed and built a revolutionary, completely autonomous robot for cleaning photovoltaic systems. The robot allows to clean the solar panels automatically and dry, responding to the maintenance needs of photovoltaic systems installed in desert areas, particularly subject to the soiling effect caused by the accumulation of dust that compromises their efficiency
SERRANOVA
The startup designs and builds highly technological greenhouses for urban agriculture that allow plants to grow at speeds up to four times higher than normal, saving a remarkable amount of energy compared to vertical farming
SMART MOLD
The startup has developed and patented a coating for injection molds that allows post-consumer recycled plastic to be processed (which is usually rejected due to its viscosity) and reduces the thickness of plastic parts, reducing the amount of raw material used in production
SWITCHO
The solution is a web platform that offers a personal and domestic finance tool where, in a few clicks, you can conclude a supplier switch, a renegotiation or the cancellation of an expense
VEIL ENERGY
It is active in the field of energy efficiency and waste heat recovery. The company has developed thermoelectric generators (TEG) that permit to convert waste heat in electricity, as well as a management system (e-boost) for optimization of the energy efficiency of prosumer systems (energy producers and consumers)
Stay tuned to find out who wins!
