The startups selected to participate in UniCredit Start Lab 2022 will be offered several opportunities, including:

  • participation in meetings with UniCredit Corporate clients in order to evaluate potential commercial/industrial/technological partnerships, both in ad hoc sectoral initiatives and in one-to-one meetings;
  • opportunity to get in touch with possible investors, including international ones, in dedicated initiatives;
  • access to the Startup Academy and other initiatives as part of the coaching and managerial training program organized by the UniCredit Start Lab team;
  • guidance from professional Mentors, consultants and entrepreneurs, who will help them develop their businesses by offering skills and providing access to networks;
  • the assignment of a dedicated UniCredit manager.

The winner will also receive a cash prize of €10,000.

The twelve finalists are as follows:

CLEAN TECH AREA

ENERGY DOME

Energy Dome has developed CO2 Battery, a long duration energy storage technology that uses CO2 to fight climate change. By means of a closed thermodynamic process, they use CO2 to store electricity cost effectively with unprecedented round trip efficiencies and without emissions to the atmosphere.

FRISBI ENERGIA

Frisbi Simple Energy is a start-up that provides energy in an independent, innovative and sustainable way. The electricity supplied by Frisbi is produced by renewable sources and meets the needs of green communities wanting to be the engine for energy transition, calculating rates through a simple and sustainable algorithm.

H2ENERGY

H2 Energy is a dynamic innovative Italian SME specialized in the production of industrial electrolysers for the generation of green hydrogen, researching advanced production methods covering all technologies and the supply chain.

NOLEGGIO ENERGIA

Noleggio Energia is the lead partner for PMI's wishing to invest in energy efficiency and energy production from renewable sources, that do not intend purchase the necessary goods, but rather rent them and repay the rental fee simply with the energy savings achieved. Noleggio Energia is able to face investments of any amount and complexity, developing highly effective energy saving solutions and guaranteeing performance over time, with a tailor-made product at no cost.

EOS TURBOWIND (BY WPE)

By valorizing the concept of capturability, WPE realized EOS Turbowind, a wind microturbine which combines various technologies in an innovative way with the aim of maximizing wind power in every context, with a special focus on the urban one. With its full service, the company will actively help citizens and businesses to reduce utility costs and expedite energy transition.

RESOH+

REsoH Solutions offers reversible solid oxide fuel cells (SOCs) for the production of hydrogen and its conversion into energy, made with the innovative digital technology REsoH+. The cells, produced on a massive scale and to the format customizable to different applications, are both competitive and performing thanks to the reduced manufacturing times and lower cost as compared to the market.

INDUSTRIAL AREA

AUTOGNITY

Autognity designs and manufactures cognitive robots capable of autonomously learning and deciding how to behave in response to complex objectives in anthropogenic environments by adopting multiple technologies such as artificial intelligence, computer vision and cyber security for the logistics, automation and e-commerce sectors. Autognity provides licensed software and SaaS solutions.

EYE4NIR

Eye4Nir aims to unleash SWIR vision potential, thanks to its innovative technology. Their mission is to develop cost-effective VIS/SWIR (visible/short-wave infrared) dual-band image sensors by implementing novel technologies within the microelectronic industry. This will allow EYE4NIR to make SWIR vision an affordable technology, allowing a wide implementation of infrared vision in everyday life.

F3NICE

F3nice innovates the additive manufacturing industry by developing a circular economy ecosystem for the production of metal powder from recycling. Their approach is based on the recovery of high-value waste materials that are exploited as inputs to produce new powder for 3D printing. The goal is to reduce the use of virgin resources, thus improving the sustainability of the entire production process.

LITHIUM LASER

The 30% of machined high precision parts are discarded during manufacturing process because modern lasers cannot keep high machining speed and quality at the same time. Lithium Lasers has developed an innovative burst mode laser that can increase the machining speed by a factor of 10, while keeping high precision. This solution will help companies reducing the number of discarded parts and decreasing the production costs.

NANO-TECH

Nano-Tech deals with nano-technologies and produces innovative composite materials and nanocomposites. Thanks to a patented technology and the know-how in the homogeneous and effective dispersion of nano particles within polymers, Nano-Tech has developed unique products, more robust, lighter, more heat resistant, with better electrical conductivity and able to reduce vibrations. They are used in the production of structural components for cars, airplanes and boats, in interior components in the transport sector and in the production of sports equipment and industrial machinery.

TIMELAPSE LAB

Timelapse Lab produces smart industrial devices for remote construction site management, paired with a software based on artificial intelligence. Thanks to a wide range of products and services, they combine the production of plug and play devices, resistant to all critical issues, with a functional management platform for remote control of jobs.

Stay tuned to find out who wins!
