The Commission on Innovative Made in Italy
The Commission on Innovative Made in Italy will meet on June 27, 2018, to select the winning proposal from among ten finalists.
The startups selected to participate in UniCredit Start Lab 2018 will receive:
customized banking advice from a UniCredit manager
guidance from professional mentors, consultants and entrepreneurs, who will help them develop their businesses by offering skills and providing access to networks
management training for both domestic and international operations through UniCredit's Startup Academy
introductions to potential investors
The winner will also receive a cash prize of €10,000.
The eleven finalists are as follows:
CROSSING - the startup produces on industrial scale scale an innovative class of chemical components or activators (Cross-Linking Activators) to obtain high-performing innovative material that may be used in a wide range of industrial applications (nontoxic leather, packaging, antifouling paintings, fabrics, healthy building materials, pigments, and other new generation chemical products)
CYNOMYS - the company developed Plinio-the Stable Kit, a solution dedicated to livestock farming based on IoT technology and artificial intelligence. Plinio, installed in the farm, detects parameters required by the European animal welfare guidelines such as ammonia and CO2 levels. In addition, with more than 20 variables measured and controlled from a single dashboard, Plinio is an essential tool to improve the management of the farm and with it its productivity
DBF - the startup developed a two-modules espresso coffee machine that allows users to choose the type of coffee and the type of water at any usage, thus allowing for an infinite number of combinations. The machine is based on a patented technology, that mixes different types of solid components with water in a controlled temperature and pressure environment, that allows users to vary the mix at each usage, without the need to clean up the machine
DUE DI LATTE - the startup transforms the overproduction and wast of milk into high-quality fabric using innovative bio-engineering technologies. The milk-based fabric is fully organic, soft, light, and it has antibacterial and moisturing properties thanks to the aminoacids released on the skin, which come from casein, the milk protein that is inside the textile fiber. The milk fabric is particularly suitable for high-sensitive skins, such as those of kids
EUTRONICA - the startup developed Jobot, a small automatic guide vehicle, able to transport small objects within factories, wharehouses and any other working environment without the use of wiring or tracks. Jobot navigation software allows the robot to recognize the environment, avoid obstacles, calculate the optimal path and recalculate it in real time.
GLASSUP - F4 is an augmented reality glass, supporting professionals in industry throughout the production process. F4 is an eye-protecting mask that allow users to enjoy contents (videos, pictures, tutorials, instruction manuals, etc. ) aimed to support the working process.
GRAFFITI FOR SMART CITY - the startup produces and installs artistic and sustainable "smartwalls" embedding smart sensors. Smartwalls interact with users smart devices and collect data on environmental conditions (traffic, public transport, etc.) to optimize public mobility services, ensure citizens' safety, increasing connectivity services and produce statistics useful for an optimal planning of Smart City services
HEXAGRO URBAN FARMING - the company develops easy-to-use and customisable designed indoor gardens to decentralise food production and reconnect people to nature. Its first product is the Living Farming Tree, a modular, scalable and automated vertical garden producing pesticide-free greens to offices and hotels while incrementing air quality and employees/customers wellbeing. It uses aeroponics technology to produce healthy and delicious produce 5x faster, saving up to 90% water than traditional agriculture and 55% in maintenance costs
HIRIDE SUSPENSION - the startup designs, develops and manufactures smart active suspension for different bike categories, from mountain bikes to the gravel and endurance branches. The company already launched on the market the first ever electronic suspension for road bikes. The system, based on sophisticated algorithms developed and patented by the company, is able to analyze frame vibrations and to automatically adapt suspension stiffness to any ground type in less than 20 milliseconds
LUMINOUSBEES - the company produces micro drone swarms endowed with LED lighting devices, in order to realize original light shows, both indoor and outdoor
OCORE - the startup produces prototypes and semi-finished composite plastics products using an innovative and patented 3D printing technology, based on robotics and additive manufacturing solutions. Primary industry targets for Ocore technology are the automotive, aerospace and naval sectors
