The Board of Experts dedicated to Clean-tech & Industrial business projects has met on May 28th to evaluate the 12 finalists selected by UniCredit Start Lab.

The board, made up of senior executives and key opinion leaders, saw the participation of:

Eoliann has won the first prize, being classified as the best of the most promising of the 12 startups presented. Eoliann is a climate-tech startup that leverages satellite data and artificial intelligence to forecast climate events' probability, intensity, and impact. Tha startup will receive a 10.000 € grant.

Runner-up is Limenet, a deep-tech Benefit Corporation that has patented an innovative technology to remove and permanently store carbon dioxide (CO2) (for a period exceeding 10,000 years) by storing it into the sea in the form of calcium bicarbonates.

Third position goes to GemaTEG, an innovative startup with offices in Seattle, Perugia and Lausanne, specializing in products for enhancing AI infrastructure. GemaTEG's thermal management solution transcends AI industry limitations by enhancing capacity without increasing resource demands

Finally, a Special Mention goes Astradyne. Founded in 2021 and located in Bari, Astradyne is a cutting-edge startup developing lightweight, foldable, and reliable deployable solutions for the aerospace sector. Its core technology consists of an innovative and proprietary process that integrates rigid-flex electronic components with advanced textile materials.

A second Special Mention goes to RarEarth. RarEarth transforms end-of-life products like electric vehicles, electronics, and wind turbines by recycling rare earth elements. Its innovative magnets, made from recycled materials, have a low environmental impact, for a sustainable technological transition.

Acus

Acus revolutionizes composites manufacturing by promoting sustainability through economic advantage. Thanks to a process based on a proprietary technology, materials are reduced and reused, reducing costs and environmental impact.

Komete

Komete enhances factory efficiency and supports green transition by eliminating inefficiencies and paper usage in non-mechanized processes. Founded by industry experts, it offers a plug-and-play AIoT solution with IoT sensors and a cloud software.

Proxima Robotics

Proxima Robotics develops products for mobile robotics applied to manufacturing, using its own adaptable and flexible software infrastructure.

REair

REair is a company dedicated to research, development, and production in the field of photocatalytic eco-technologies for purifying outdoor and indoor air, reducing pollutants, sanitizing surfaces, and improving indoor air quality (IAQ).

Relicta

Relicta solution is a natural polymer made using fish by-products and can be used as an innovative packaging. It is water-soluble, transparent, odorless, biodegradable, and compostable. The vision of Relicta is based on the circular economy model.

Vammon

Vammon simplifies logistics by eliminating phone calls, emails, and price negotiations. Companies can digitally collaborate with suppliers and clients to manage shipments, contracts, and documents. 

9-Tech

9-Tech aims to commercialize the first end-to-end, zero-waste process for recovering all valuable materials from decommissioned photovoltaic panels, including silver and silicon metal that can be reused in existing and new supply chains (LIB anodes).
