UniCredit Start Lab at Fieragricola

UniCredit Start Lab is pleased some of its participants will present their work at this year's Fieragricoloa, the renowned annual international agriculture fair that is being held in Verona, Italy from January 31 to February 3.

Now in its 113th year, Fieragricola showcases numerous specializations in the agricultural sector, including agricultural mechanics, vineyards and orchards, animal husbandry, renewable energy sources, multifunctional, green management and forestry activities, agro-drugs and fertilizers. It  is particularly focused on stimulating discussion about innovation and competitiveness in agriculture, fostering bilateral relations between the agricultural world and institutions around the globe.

In this context, four innovative startups from UniCredit Start Lab will conduct two workshops about Innovation & Agritech at this year's Fieragricola to an audience composed of farmers and animal breeders.

These are the startups that will make their presentations on February 1 and 2 at the Orchard and Vineyard section of Veronafiere, Forum Area Hall 4:

3BEE - Electronic device to remotely monitor the health of bee hives, enabling prompt intervention of anomalies. This technology reduces the work of beekeepers by increasing the productivity of their apiaries, and collects data that will help 3Bee, universities and research centers to find new treatments for disease in bee populations, with the aim of reducing reliance on harmful chemicals. This technology will also be applied to animal breeding (e.g., chickens, pigs, sheep)

HYRIS - Instrument for genetic analysis of animal and plant samples, using immersive app and cloud-based software to provide agronomists, veterinarians and food production professionals the equivalent of a centralized laboratory at a fraction of the cost and time

AGRICOLUS - Precision farming platform that supports farmers, agronomists, agri-food processors and other operators in the optimization of agronomic practices, using cutting edge data collection and analysis technologies to offer Decision Support Systems, models forecasting, and smart targeting against plant diseases

PROXENTIA - Manufactures instrumentation for efficient and economical assessment of food quality to maintain safety and quality of supply chains. The ProXentia tool, which requires minimal operator intervention, is particularly useful for the routine checks that food companies must perform during their processes, such as the detection of mycotoxins and allergens.
