X-Ender has designed heavyweight autonomous drones with decentralised control for firefighting and aerial agriculture. The aim is to reduce operational errors (and related costs), inefficiencies, waste and to automate and optimise any aerial and heavy activity through a system capable of intervening autonomously in environmental emergencies. X-Ender's first product will be MANTA, a next-generation heavy drone with a payload of up to 250 kg and a take-off weight between 400 and 420 kg. The aircraft will be made of carbon fibre with aluminium and titanium alloy parts. The choice of materials is suitable to withstand the heavy stresses that occur under certain operating conditions. It is designed to operate in complete autonomy, to be powered by hydrogen and to reach up to 50 km away from the base. The MANTAs are initially designed for agriculture (top-dressing, drop-dusting, watering, seeding, side-dispersion) and fire-fighting, but future applications could involve the transport of people and sensitive goods. Thanks to the control system, these drones can be deployed in fleets of 30 or 40 units to cover extensions of 100 or more hectares. MANTA drones will meet the needs of extensive plantations and high-yield crops by guaranteeing the use and management of machines: MANTA drones will be deployable over several fields, allowing them to be used in different areas while they are not needed for agricultural practices (fire-fighting, material movement, goods delivery); and guaranteeing production: MANTA drones aim to combine the advantages of both precision agriculture (data analysis, sensing, AI) and extensive agriculture (massive operations, large volumes of material and areas covered). X-Ender drones can collaborate with each other thanks to an innovative decentralised control system based on blockchain, with the aim of making them available for various uses such as fighting fires, increasing the efficiency of food production and enabling the automation of smart cities.
