L.I.F.E. Italia has developed Healer, a telemedicine solution based on sensorised clothing capable of recording patients' physiological parameters for very long periods of time and sending them, either in real time or at regular intervals, to a centralised cloud. The data is processed by an AI system that can identify health trends and cardiorespiratory anomalies. The doctor can visualise the patient's progress over time, select specific recordings and perform in-depth analyses or produce a full-fledged Cardio Respiratory report with a legal value. The devices are capable of recording a variety of data, in high accuracy and with diagnostic quality including ECG, breath, body and environmental temperature, saturation, activity, activity intensity and the patient's posture. It is a standalone technology, requiring no installation at the patient's home or interaction with their smartphone. Data communication to the cloud and thus to the doctor is ensured by the device itself. It can be washed in a normal washing machine. The quality of the data collected, which is superior to traditional data collection thanks to the innovation of Healer technology, the comfort and the possibility of creating telemedicine scenarios make Healer the most convenient technology choice for patients. The solution is certified as a class IIa medical device and 17 patents have been submitted covering a wide variety of technological applications, from conductive material design and firmware inventions to identity protection algorithms and customised clothing. Integration between L.I.F.E. Italia devices and other cloud or web-based solutions is possible and can take place through customisations or APIs. A partnership with Vodafone Italia was signed in 2021 and agreements with insurance companies and scientific institutes are in the pipeline.
