Business Idea

Astradyne is a startup specializing in the development of lightweight, foldable photovoltaic solutions for both space and terrestrial applications. At the core of Astradyne's innovation is its proprietary FRET (Flexible Reinforced Electronics with Textile) technology, a novel design and manufacturing process that integrates rigid-flexible printed circuit boards (PCBs) with durable fabrics. This innovative approach addresses common challenges such as copper fatigue during bending, damage from excessive stress, high production costs, and long lead times. The FRET technology not only enhances efficiency and compactness but also ensures light weight and versatility, marking a significant breakthrough in the field.
Leading Astradyne's entry into the market is the SolarCube, a deployable solar array designed for space applications that generates 50% more energy than its competitors while being 30% lighter. Set for launch in 2025, SolarCube has already garnered interest from several leading aerospace companies.
Simultaneously, Astradyne is expanding its technology to terrestrial markets with SolarDrape, its first ground-based product. SolarDrape combines the high efficiency of rigid solar cells (>20%) with the lightweight benefits of flexible solar arrays (<2.5 kg/m²), offering a versatile and robust solution for applications requiring rapid deployment, flexibility, and easy transportation. This product is scheduled to launch in 2026.
