Sense4Med develops innovative electrochemical biosensors for strategic applications in the clinical, environmental, defense, and agri-food sectors. Our fully functional pilot project is a miniaturized and eco-friendly paper-based biosensor for chloride ion detection—currently considered the gold standard in cystic fibrosis diagnosis, though still reliant on laboratory-based methods. The technology enables a non-invasive, scalable, and low-cost alternative designed for mass screening, precision medicine, and healthcare cost reduction.
