The Commission on Innovative Made in Italy met on June 23, 2022 to decide the winning startup proposal for the sector.

 

The commission chose among ten finalists pre-selected by UniCredit Start Lab team. The Commission was composed of senior executives from leading Italian companies such as:

The winning startup of the first prize for the Innovative Made in Italy sector is Macai - based in Milan - which is building a next generation grocery retailer, aiming to become an online leading player, delivering in less than an hour selected goods and daily essentials from their stores.

The winning startup will receive a 10.000 € grant.

The Commission awarded the second prize to TwinOne - from Milan. The startup has developed TwinOne SEE, a software that enables designers and creatives from different fields to visually express their ideas and edit them in real time with hyper-realistic quality. It is a software suitable for designing product collections, presenting them and creating cross channel communication materials. Ease of use, realtime, photorealism and sustainability are the key features of the solution.

The third prize went to Lagalene - based in Milan - which offers a multi-purpose, Made in Italy, natural, eco-friendly and unisex cosmetics solution, based on the concept of Holistic Beauty, a philosophy that combines physical and mental wellbeing. Copyright protects their innovative idea and the latest generation ingredients make Lagalene cosmetics unique, refined, and above all effective. With a buyback rate greater than 75%, the brand is positioned in a niche market with an aware and informed target.

Finally, a special mention went to OraPesce, from Verona. Orapesce.it is a web platform offering its customers a home delivery service of fresh fish, already cleaned and ready to be cooked or previously prepared fish based dishes. The project generates value for the whole supply chain, enhances the role of the small cooperatives of local fishermen and ensures sustainability in packaging and food conservation processes.
