Business Idea

SurgiQ uses artificial intelligence to help private and public healthcare facilities improve their operational efficiency and ensure effective care for an increasing number of patients. It makes time-consuming and complex tasks such as surgery and rehabilitation planning semi-automated, ensuring better use of resources.

The company initially focused on operating rooms and then introduced other vertical applications thanks to its numerous industrial and clinical partners. The final aim is always to improve hospitals' capacity and patient flow finding the perfect balance between the needs of patients, the workforce, and payors.

Case study:

The automatic planning of physiotherapy treatments allows ICS Maugeri SpA to save its physiotherapists over 20 minutes each per day, and deliver an estimated 10 minutes more care time per patient per day. Using SurgiQ's AI engine to simplify and speed up the organisation of daily tasks, which takes into account constraints and preferences and maximises the use of resources, the client is able to deploy treatment agendas in minutes. The system also highlights possible operational bottlenecks to the management. To date, it plans over 100,000 treatments per month across 10 sites and will be gradually extended to all group's facilities.
