The Commission on Innovative Made in Italy 2023 - The Winners

 

The Commission on Innovative Made in Italy met on June 12, 2023 to decide the winning startup proposal for the sector.

 

The commission chose among twelve finalists pre-selected by UniCredit Start Lab team. The Commission was composed of senior executives from leading Italian companies.

The winning startup of the first prize for the Innovative Made in Italy sector is Deliveristo - based in Milan - the leading B2B food tech marketplace where chefs and restaurateurs can order directly from over 350 suppliers. The advantages are the simplification of the orders, the single billing point and a potentially infinite catalog thanks to the drop shipping management. Launched in 2019, Deliveristo has been already used by more than 1500 chefs and restaurateurs.

The winning startup will receive a 10.000 € grant.

The Commission awarded the second prize to ESO Recycling - from Rimini. The start-up deals with the treatment of waste from the world of fashion, sport and industry. Through a recycling process that uses innovative technologies and machinery, products such as shoes, apparel, tennis and padel balls, bicycle tires and inner tubes, stock of unsold clothing and shoes, personal protective equipment and production residues from fashion companies, become a new resource. 

The third prize went to X-Ender - from Lodi -  an innovative technological company specialized in developing blockchain-based solutions for optimizing autonomous agricultural applications, aerospace and downstream applications, IoT, drones, and smart cities.

Finally, a special mention went to Mirta - based in Milan - a B2B platform revolutionizing the way fashion designers and boutiques sell and buy wholesale. Their international clients enjoy a fluid, digital experience to discover and order from 200+ designers from Italy and around the world in an easy, one-stop way. The company approach facilitates year-round product sourcing, either buying in-advance by season as well as ongoing in-season ordering.
